Today’s #QualityTip looks at guests expectations. Are you over promising?
Obviously when developing your marketing materials, you want to use photos that are going to show your business in the best possible light, however, you need to make sure you are being true to your actual product. If not all guestrooms are the same, ensure you are clear that this is a “deluxe” room. Likewise if your food establishment has seasonal hours of operation, make sure your website and signage indicate accurate times so that guests know when they can make plans to visit. Having a guest show up and be disappointed based on expectations from your advertising is not a good situation to be in! By far the best thing you can do for your guests is to aim to provide exceptional service, and to be clear and honest in your marketing!
